Malema is an e-wallet revolutionary, says PA’s Kenny Kunene

By: Sello Theletsane

Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene has branded Julius Malema an “e-wallet revolutionary”, claiming Economic Freedom Fighters leader and self-proclaimed revolutionary is fake.

Addressing a media briefing in Sandton on Thursday (5 May) Kunene said: “There’s nothing revolutionary about Malema instead “he is a renowned extortionist who thrives on threatening wealthy individuals and businesses so they can buy him for protection”.

Kunene cited Malema’s threat to expose a wealthy SA family that he claimed had made attempts to overthrow the Botswana government. “However on the day of the rally on which he promised to reveal the identity of the family, Julius said nothing, because he had received an e-wallet,” said Kunene.

The PA deputy president said Malema had also threatened to March against a major bank but cancelled his plan “after receiving a fat e-wallet”. Kunene said the EFF’s recent March to business mogul Johann Rupert’s farm in the Stellenbosch came after “Rupert saw through the modus operandi of Julius, resisted to be scammed by this fake revolutionary and steadfastly refused to deliver an e-wallet. When the e-wallet didn’t come, the march happened.”

Kunene is currently embroiled in a messy legal battle with Malema after the PA leader called Malema “a cockroach”.

In his court papers the EFF leader has demanded R1m and an apology, however Kunene is adamant he would never apologise and still stands by his words, saying he was ready to defend his words. The matter is to be heard in court in July.

Kunene concluded: “Malema is a butler for B-grade mafias and a house negro personified. Nothing demonstrates this more than his master building him a house in his(master) backyard. “If you want to know why Julius is pretending to defend illegal immigrants, especially those from Zimbabwe, go and check his relationship with Saviour Kasukuwere.”

At the same media briefing, Kunene paraded some of the PA’s latest big catches including Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile, SA First founder, Mario Khumalo, Put SA First activist Victoria Africa and several former members of Herman Mashaba’s ActionSA.
