Two people have been left injured following a robbery at a jewellery store at Menlyn Shopping Centre.
The centre confirmed that a security guard and a civilian were shot and injured during the incident.
“It has been reported that a security guard and a civilian have been shot and have subsequently been taken away by an ambulance for further attention,” the centre said in a statement.

Videos of the incident have flooded social media with some of them depicting graphic content. In one video, a person can be seen lying on the ground while being attended to by paramedics. There is blood around him.
Emer-G-Med emergency services, one patient, who was shot multiple times, was treated then airlifted to the hospital while another was transported by ambulance.
The robbers appeared to have carefully planned their act as they came prepared with ramps to get over the spikes at the enhances of the centre.
This is the second robbery targeting a jewellery store in Pretoria. One person was killed and another injured when robbers hit a jewellery store at the Centurion Mall.
