Former ANC member Truman Prince has denounced claims that he has returned to the organisation.
In a recording circulating on social media, Prince informs members of the Patriotic Alliance that the ANC is canvassing using his name to win more votes.
“They are claiming that Truman Prince is with the ANC. The ANC promised us freedom, but instead, they granted us the people severe poverty. The current President of the ANC promised us new dawn, but we experienced new darkness,” he said
Prince further states how unemployed and poverty are the highest in the world. He speaks about the dysfunctional state of government institutions. The Former Beaufort West Mayor joined the Patriotic Alliance at the beginning of the year, which he says is the new and last hope for South Africa.
“So whoever wants to canvass and say that Truman Prince is with the ANC is a blatant liar. The Patriotic Alliance is the most colourful party in South Africa, and within the PA, we don’t talk pigmentation in politics. Please leaders, community members, and citizens of the Central Karoo, these guys canvassing with my name is pure nonsense,” Prince said.
He warns the leaders and residents of the central Karoo not to listen to the lies of the ANC.
“I render my civic duty, I was in exile. I executed my duties when I was the mayor in Beaufort West, and this regress is mind-boggling. Whoever went to your house and said that Truman Prince is with the ANC is lying to you. We put the ANC in power, and we will take them out of power with the most powerful weapon- the cross. We will execute our cross on the 1st of November to get them out of the claws of power,” he said.
