Idols judge Unathi Nkayi has been fired by Kaya FM with immediate effect.
The radio station released a statement announcing that she had been axed.
“Ms. Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward,” the statement said.

The presenter joined the Kaya FM lineup in early 2020. She hosted the Midday Joy show, weekdays from 12 -3 pm taking over from Bridget Masinga.
The station confirmed that certain incidents had occurred which affected the relationship between the two parties. They further stated: “The station would prefer not to be drawn into a debate around the details of what transpired in the interest of both parties”.
A search for a new presenter is ongoing and is to be announced in due course.
