The Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, welcomed Kgosi Maile Clifford Sebela during the official opening of the Second Session of the Fourth House of the Northern Cape Provincial House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders on Wednesday.
Part of Kgosi Sebela’s visit to the Northern Cape was to network with other traditional leaders from across the country and the world.
Premier Saul said the he had numerous interactions with all traditional leaders, both individually and as a collective.
‘This partnership has been instrumental in addressing the developmental challenges faced by our people and ensuring that no one is left behind’, he said.
Kgosi Sebela said that he is optimistic that such engagements will create an awareness and that in the near future other leaders will know that there is a small village called Hweetji.
‘I am really honoured by the invitation and I will be extremely happy if other leaders visit my village because there is a lot of opportunities there’ said Kgosi Sebela.
The ceremony was attended by traditional leaders from across the country.
