Queen Sono actress and tv personality Pearl Thusi has added Gin ownership to her portfolio as she diversifies from acting.
She took to Instagram to announce that she had acquired an equity stake in premium Gin brand Black Rose.
“From the time I tasted Black Gin Rose, I knew it was special- that it wasn’t just the name. It’s so smooth and has a unique botanical mix that creates the special variants- and you know I’m all about being premium but always keeping it natural and authentic.”
Black Rose Gin acknowledges Pearl Thusi for bringing creativity, entrepreneurial and marketing savvy to their brand. The company shared its excitement about being in partnership with Thusi.
“We would like to thank Pearl for believing in Black Rose and look forward to her sharing a Black Rose Gin cocktail with you all. We’re getting ready to shake things up and hope you are ready for the ride.”
Black Rose Gin flavours include- Satin Original, Ruby Blood Orange and Blush Pink. The 33-year-old is the latest to join the list of celebrities who have invested in the alcohol business. She competes with Boity, Cassper Nyovest, Bonang Matheba, Khanyi Mbau and her bestie DJ Zinhle.
The media personality already has several businesses under her name. She launched her line of hair products, Black Pearl, in 2015. Friend and reality TV star DJ Zinhle congratulated Thusi and commanded her work ethic.
“Congratulations my besti, I’m so inspired by how hard-working my friends are…wishing you all the success Pearly… It’s gonna be a great summer,” DJ Zinhle wrote on Instagram.
The Gin is available at Takealot, Tops at Spar, PnP Liquor Stores, Ultra City and Norman Goodfellows. The premium gin brand was founded in February 2018.
