Skeem Saam actress and television host Amanda du Pont posted a heartfelt video on her Instagram account accusing Molemo Maarohanye (Jub Jub) of raping her when they were in a relationship.
This was after Uyajola 99 host Jub Jub’s interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG where he claimed to have “smashed” Amanda and that Kelly Khumalo had lured him away from her with Muti.
“I was dating Amanda when she was still at AFDA (Africa Film Drama Art, now called AFDA, the School for the Creative Economy) our relationship was for 3 years and stayed together in the South,” he said in the interview.
In response to these allegations, Amanda said he was her boyfriend at that time she was a teenager and still a virgin.

“I was raped! physically and emotionally abused for two years by Jub Jub. The only thing I did wrong was keeping quiet, but this ends here. I will not be publicly ridiculed by this criminal.”
She further went on to say she was not afraid of Jub Jub and what he did was wrong. The actress appealed to any attorney that can help deal with Jub Jub to reach out.
“Not because I can’t afford it but I want to make this a public fight. The fight is bigger than me. Dedicated to all the women who never make it out and end up dead,” she added.
Moja love issued a statement distancing themselves from the interview and the content thereof. As a channel, they don’t condone Gender-based Violence in any way and under any circumstances. They have decided to suspend Jub Jub.

Masechaba Ndlovu, spokesperson for the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture came forward following Amanda’s tweet and disclosed that Jub Jub allegedly raped her when she was a teenager and a virgin.
