Emily in Paris star Lily Collins is now a newly celebrated bride. The 32-year-old actress got married to writer and director Charlie McDowell in Dunton, Colorado, during a private ceremony with just their parents over the weekend.
Collins, the daughter of legendary actress Mary Steenburgen, relived her magical wedding by posting a series of pictures on social media. The first was the couple kissing while wrapped in a Ralph Lauren white lace gown. A sweet tribute to her husband accompanied the picture.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021, we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond”.
Clad in a smart black suit, McDowell also expressed affection to his wife: “I married the most generous, thoughtful and beautiful person I’ve ever known.”
The last picture she posted shows the couple posing in a majestic waterfall setting.
“What’s started as a fairytale is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start.”
The couple got engaged after two years of dating. The American film director proposed when they were on a road trip to New Mexico.
