Rapper and Media personality Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo wants R1 million as part of a settlement agreement relating to an assault cause she opened against radio personality Bujy Bikwa.
At the beginning of this month, the Bakae hitmaker was allegedly assaulted by Bikwa at the Courtyard Hotel in Midrand after the two attended a tech event.
The altercation between the two arose when Bujy questioned Boity being a traditional healer. In an audio recorded by one of Bujy’s friends, he can be heard talking about it in the presence of Boity, saying: “you know what the worst part is?… Boity is bragging about ancestor’s with so much aggressiveness, but she is so weak.”
Boity did not take this lying down, which escalated the exchange of words between them. This led to him unintentionally throwing a glass at Boity, which left her with severe cuts.
Bujy was arrested and spent a week in police custody, and he was released on R2000 bail.
According to media reports, Boity sent Bujy a demand letter for R1 million as a settlement agreement.
The radio personality further responded: “I need to take accountability for her scars, but now she opened a case, and I got arrested. The worst part is that she sent a letter demanding R1m, and I’m just like, you don’t want to resolve this. Where will I get R1m when both of us are at fault.”
People on Twitter are convinced that Bujy doesn’t have the funds to pay Boity as part of the settlement agreement.
