Sisulu has also received backing from ANCWL structures in North West and Gauteng. ANC University of Fort Hare branch coordinator Sibusiso Zonke said: “University of Fort Hare has been the provider of solutions when our people are confronted with problems, it with that background that University of Fort Hare mass democratic movement structures invited comrade Lindiwe Sisulu to come and address students and staff members.”

Added Zonke: “In the crisis and political confusion that we face in our beloved country, we took a clear and unsponsored resolution to support comrade Lindiwe Sisulu to become the next president of the ANC and ultimately the president of the Republic of South Africa.”

Zonke said ANC Fort Hare was willing to work tirelessly and convince people of Eastern Cape and all mass democratic movement structures “to support the daughter of the movement and the experienced comrade of the movement”.

“We call all structures to prioritise the needs of our people not their selfish and counter-revolutionary gains. The time of comrade Lindiwe Sisulu has arrived, no one can stop this. The puppets of white monopoly capital have no future in the space of the movement. Our agenda is socio-economic Transformation, ” said Zonke.
